Use Only the Normal Lens This Year

A group of photographers has grown tired of their zooms, and urge everyone to just shoot with a normal lens this year and contribute photos to the project.

Normal lenses have had a revenge recently thanks to high brightness and relatively low price. But still the zooms are dominating heavily.

Limiting their equipment is a good method to develop the photographic vision. It stimulates the ability to find new motifs and compositions.

World famous photographer Henri Caries-Bresson photographed almost exclusively with a 50 millimeter standard lens on his Leica. He is proof that it is the photographic vision and not the equipment that is the limit in many cases.

The idea of this project is that throughout 2010 to limit yourself to shoot with a normal lens. It is called Project 10-50.
